Discussing whether we use the Oxford comma when writing lists has been discussed at work recently (some do, some don’t, some use it only if necessary) so we’ve decided that our style guide needs to be updated.

It’s impossible for me to think about grammar without thinking about Stephen Fry’s podcast about language pedants. This is a typographic video made by Matt Rogers using clips from the original (longer) podcast that you’ll find on iTunes.

It seems likely that we all have an inner language pedant, it’s not something reserved for editors and writers. What approach we take, as individuals or as brands, tells our audience a great deal about us - whether a true reflection or not - we are all judged on the way we communicate.
